Hello everyone,

This is a brief introduction to Ballroom Blitz  and the teachers who take the classes.

Hello, my name is Debbie Worsley and I have been dancing for over thirty years (I started very young!).

My dance history is very similar to all young girls as I started dancing Ballet and tap then moved on to Old tyme, Latin American and Ballroom.  Throughout the years competing, I represented Northern Ireland in many national and International competitions reaching championship standard and during this time was placed in the top six couples in Ireland. I also danced on the original "Come Dancing" in Blackpool against many of the Professionals who are currently on the current"Strictly Come Dancing"series.

After having my family and retiring from dancing, I got the dancing bug again and decided along with my sister Michelle to teach and to pass on our many years of experience. I love seeing a complete beginner start to dance and progress in the different styles of dance and hopefully enjoy the social side of dancing.

Hello, my name is Michelle Cardwell and I also have been dancing for over thirty years (I started even younger than Debbie!).

My dance history is very similar to Debbie's but I specialised in Latin American and was chosen to represent Northern Ireland in the World Championships and making it right through to the final 32 couples which was an amazing achievement. I also danced on the original "Come Dancing" and even had to sit my A level examinations in between rehersals!! I also reached championship standard and was in the top three couples in Ireland in Latin American. Again like Debbie, I retired from dancing to have my family and returned again to get fit by learning Salsa. Now, along with Debbie we teach a little Salsa but mostly Latin American and Ballroom dancing.

Our motto is learn to dance the "STRICTLY COME DANCING" way and we aim to do this by passing on our knowledge and experience of dancing.
